about:
an accident
author:josephine
i saw an accident today this morning, rather after it happened. i heard a loud noise 1st. thinking it was something being banged, i continued with my exercise. More and more people were going to the source of noise. that's when i realised the seriousness of it. Two lives and vehicles were involved. i finally went forward to take a look. it was super sad to see a man, the motorcyclist, and a woman, the pillion rider, lying on the road. the man was nearer to the point of place where the crash between his motor bike and a 7-seater car took place. the woman was thrown further away. the irony of it: the man seemed to be more seriously injured than the woman. his helmet was broken into pieces and his face which was facing down in a pool of blood. Apparently he lost a lot of blood and was struggling to breathe. an onlooker tried to move him so that his face could faced up thus helping him to breathe better. that's when i shouted at him not to move him as we did not know whether he has broken any bones or not. still he made a better choice as the man finally breathed better but it was laborious. the woman still had her helmet on her head and she was lying in a foetal position.so unlike an accident. she had a cut on her right eye or face. i think she also broke her right arm as she could not respond to the paramedic to lift it onto her body. so i think this is contrary to what mostly happen: the motorcyclist survived and the pillion rider died. i hope both of them survived tho' they may sufer in future. really it is so unsafe to ride on a motorcycle these days. the man in the 7-seater escaped unhurt saved for just a dent on his car. who was in the wrong? i really don't know. it was a super duper sad day!
by the way the junction where it all happened is so familiar to me. its just outside the school where my 2 older girls used to attend and we had walked there many, many, many times. i had seen few accidents before. some even involved students.but this is like so vivid to me. its better to be safe than sorry.
haven't blog for a long time yet have to make a comeback with such sad happenings. its not easy to blog. i realised it takes discipline to do so. thats all i can make it today! i feel like i have finished writing an essay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
