A Child Who Thinks He Heard Too Often Is No Indication of His Spirituality.
author:josephine
Recently i heard abt the above twice. immediately we r impressed.Yes he has heard the same bible story again n again. Perhaps to the extent he is able to repeat it. It is no indication that he is full of knowledge. He is just blessed to have the opportunity to hear the story over n over again. On hindsight he is bored again no indication of his spirituality.Perhaps it is the way the story is told, a story and full-stop. With no love as it is the word of God recorded from years ago for generations to generations that we may know and learn from the past to give glory to God.Imagine the child has many more years where he will be reading the bible(thus the story) over n over again. So do we really need to teach less as a result? Some other children may not even have the opp to listen to such stories.!Our children may seem to have a lot of bibilcal knowledge does that mean we teach less so they can learn more? By that i hope they mean offering a lifestyle that the children can copy but what lifestyles will the youths be offering? I think that lifestyles still have to be built on the foundation of the WORD. So how can we really teach less? We must teach our children to love and value the Word of God at all times. There's always something new to learn from His Word for all ages.
